President & Content Director, Joseph Funk
Joseph Funk began his career as an assistant editor at Electronic Gaming Monthly in 1991, and held just about every job along the way to his position as Editorial Director of the Ziff-Davis Game Group during its heyday in the 1990s , where he directed the content and teams of category-leading magazines including EGM, Computer Gaming World, PocketGames and a number of leading one-shot publications. Mr. Funk was also a co-founder of the Official PlayStation Magazine as well as VideoGames.com (since folded into GameSpot.com).
In 2000, Mr. Funk founded Mojo Media, where he has developed the tools and technology, along with the people and passion, to make Mojo a premier supplier and packager of editorial and advertorial web-based and print solutions for enthusiast audiences. He and Mojo have worked with, or on behalf of, companies including Electronic Arts, Wal-Mart, Fox, Sony, Nintendo, Canon USA, ABC News, CBS, TNT, Random House, USA Today, The Boston Globe, The New York Post, The Miami Herald, The Denver Post, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the NFL, NFLPA, NHL, the NBA, MLB and several major college and pro sports teams.
With multiple NY Times Non-Fiction Bestsellers in its trophy case, Mojo has emerged as a leading creator, writer, editor and packager of custom and re-purposed content for websites and print publications. And with a business and production model that has been honed to razor sharpness and has resulted in steady growth and rock-solid stability during the choppy economy of the 2000s, Mr. Funk and Mojo have proven to be uniquely suited to help traditional companies squeeze much more out of their budgets than any other internal or external source.
Mr. Funk co-captained his college’s ice hockey team and still tries to stay fit through his love of the outdoors. He is active in various charities in his community and lives happily with his wife and two young children in Chicagoland.
VP & Creative Director, Jason Hinman

After a successful start to his career at Saatchi & Saatchi, a New York City advertising firm, Jason Hinman was lured back to his native Midwest to serve as Art Director at the Ziff-Davis Game Group in 1994, where he managed the layout and design teams and budgets for Electronic Gaming Monthly and several ZD custom publications for the remainder of the decade.
Joining Mojo Media soon after its inception, Mr. Hinman has designed hundreds of print and web-based vehicles during his career and oversees many of the creative levers and switches that enable Mojo to interface seamlessly with companies and clients—and to comfortably navigate the synapses from concept to completion.
Mr. Hinman provides a clear beacon of leadership for a design and production staff with experience that ranges from simple websites to hardcover coffee table books, and from frequency magazines to a wide array of traditional and direct-marketing materials.
Mr. Hinman lives along the Lake Michigan shoreline with his wife and young son and remains an all-seasons sports enthusiast.
